If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed. The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is turn it on to manual. also added a few videos to help you test elements etcįor your future reference, I’ve included some Common faults with these Hotpoint SA2540HBL Oven cookers to assist you in the future or anyone else reading this.
This sounds like the base element is not working but I cannot be 100% sure as the exploded diagram you will see below is showing a grill element and a base element but it is not showing a fan oven element, but in the parts list on this Appliance it is showing a fan of an element as I have not worked on the appliance before I am unsure if this cooker has a fan of an element so please check and come back to me.
